"Nutrition is the bridge between where you are now and where you want to be. Denise helps clients find the 'sweet spot' where science meets daily life."
Denise is completing her MSc thesis in Nutrition, focusing on the gastrointestinal microbiome. She turns the latest research into practical steps for better gut health and well-being. Known for her evidence-based, ethical, and creative approach, Denise gives advice clients can trust and uses methods that work. As an Accredited Diabetes Educator with the Diabetes Society of South Africa (DESSA), she helps clients manage blood sugar and live healthier lives. Her certification in Dietary Research Methodology from the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) means her nutrition advice is always backed by science and provides patients with clear, confident guidance.
Denise started her career as a competitive track and field athlete in primary school. She was the Champion of Champions hurdler and later became captain of the girls' athletics team in her final year. That same year, she completed the tough Veld and Vlei Willowpoint leadership and adventure school (SG.4), 1990. Sports taught her leadership, teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Growing up during apartheid and overcoming an eating disorder showed her strength and deepened her belief that she can do all things through Christ, who gives her strength. Denise brings empathy and understanding to her clients, meeting each person's unique challenges with compassion and respect.
Her commitment to service extends into education, mentorship, and community health as she develops wellness programs, mentors aspiring dietitians, and leads local and international initiatives through SU, YWAM, and CBN Emmanuil. Balance is central to her philosophy. As a wife and mother of five, she renews her energy through faith, family, community, and sport. By modelling balance, she offers clients realistic strategies to integrate wellness into daily life and recognises the unique pressures they face. The curiosity, inspiration, and determination gained through sports, community service, and clinical leadership fuel her passion to help clients embrace positive change and achieve balance in their health.
Are you ready to improve your health? Denise offers knowledge, insight, and science-based guidance, along with her support. Her career shows courage, expertise, and compassion, making her a trusted partner for anyone seeking a healthier, more vibrant life.
